Hey Owls! Graduation is coming up, and you deserve photos that actually feel like you. Whether you're stoked to be done or just trying to survive until Beer Bike, graduation is a big deal—and you should have photos that capture more than just the cap and gown. These are for you, your friends, and yeah… your mom (who will frame them no matter what).

If you're looking for something more than “friend with a camera” energy, I’ve got you. I’m a professional wedding photographer with over five years of experience, and also a Rice student—so I know the best lighting, angles, and campus spots to give your beautiful photos in a great location. I’ll keep your session fun, low-pressure, and efficient, with natural prompts and poses that won’t make you feel stiff or staged. You’ll get high-quality, edited photos that look amazing and still feel real.

Graduation sessions typically take place in late spring once grads have had a chance to pick-up their graduation regalia (pro-tip: Rice College Coordinators all keep extra college specific stols, to shoot early and avoid the crowds consider borrowing one!). I highly reccomend shooting as soon as you're able as sessions the week before graduation tend to be extremely crowded on campus (especially if you're hoping for photos with friends/at Sallyport). Sessions opened to the general public on April 1st, and limited spots remain for 2026.

All the Answers

What's included in My Package?

Your quoted estimate will cover everything - YES - REALLY EVERYTHING. No hidden fees, download charges, or print costs. The quoted price includes planning assistance, style guides, location scouting, shooting time, professional editing, printing rights, and a digital gallery that includes full resolution licensed copies of all your final images.

Can I do a group session with friends?

Absolutely, check out my deluxe package for individuals or groups (no extra charge for more people!). Bring as many friends as you'd like, and even add-on time to get individual photos.

What's your style?

I specialize in natural light photography and utilize a mix of candid and staged poses. At the end of your session you'll walk away with bright, timeless images, but I always love to take special requests if you have a specific pose or shot in mind.

Will you edit our pictures?

Yes! To me, editing is where the fun begins. Every image in your gallery will be corrected for light, color, and style to give it a dreamy, timeless aesthetic.

Can you retouch my pictures?

Absolutely! Retouching is included with every package. Photoshoots can be a wild environment and no one wants a flyaway, blackhead, stop sign, or friendly onlooker ruining their favorite picture.

Can I get a sneak peek?

I'm just as excited as you (if not more) excited for you to see your images. Mini sessions will receive their full gallery all at once, but others will receive a few sneak peek images within 48 hours of your session.

Can I bring props to my session?

Absolutely! You're welcome to bring champagne, confetti, specialized signs, florals, and anything you want to achieve your specific vision. I strongly reccomend a classic champagne pop.

When will I receive my full gallery?

Given the tight turnaround, grad shoots each come with an expedited turnaround time of around two weeks. Even if you're booking your shoot within a week of graduation, I can still guarantee you'll have your full gallery by three days after graduation.

Do you shoot on film or digital?

I use top-of-the-line Canon Mirrorless digital cameras. Exactly what gear I pack varies depending on the needs of your session, but trust me, I'll have more than enough.

Will we receive printed or digital images?

In today's age, everyone has a different idea for what they want to do with their images. While you might just want the digital copies for instagram, your family may want printed copies to hang on the wall. To make sure you have all the possibilities at your fingertips, I offer design services and deliver images via digital gallery. My printing lab is embedded right in your gallery so you can order dazzling professional prints and material copies of your photos from me, or use your included print release to print at any lab of your choosing.

Do I have to be a graduate to book a session?

No, any Rice Student may book a graduation session! You're welcome to use the time to capture headshots, activity photos, or just a few updated portraits. Unfortunately non-owls are not eligible for these sessions as the discounted sessions are exclusive for Rice students. For general inquiries please see the portrait page.

What if I still have a question?

I'll have an answer! Head over to the contact page and shoot me an email or text.
